Labyrinth The labyrinth is an intricate circular pattern which one walks while meditating. Unlike a maze, the path always leads to the center and out again. This ancient sacred symbol of unity and wholeness can be found in many cultures and religious traditions. One of the most well known labyrinths is in Notre Dame Cathedral of Chartres in France. The Linwood labyrinth design is based on the 11 circuit Chartres labyrinth. The cross that bisects the circle can be seen as a symbol for Christ in the world. The sacred space of labyrinths welcomes and embraces all. Our labyrinth is located beyond the pool and beside the garden. Be sure to listen for the beautiful chimes.
